Privacy Policy
The short version. Time Called runs on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no servers and no analytics. We don't collect your information, so there's nothing to sell, and we wouldn't sell it if there were.
This policy explains what the Time Called iPhone app (“Time Called”, “we”, “us”) does with your information.
What stays on your iPhone
Your quiz answers, your real number and the totals behind it, your quit date, slips, check-ins, urges beaten, money kept, and the message you write or record are saved in the app's storage on your iPhone. They are included in your iPhone's own backups if you use iCloud or computer backups. Deleting the app deletes them.
Statements and screenshots
When you add a bank or card statement, or a screenshot from a betting app, it's read on your iPhone using Apple's built-in text recognition. It is never uploaded, no copy is kept, and it isn't sold or shared. Only the totals you confirm are saved, on your iPhone.
Screen Time and blocking
Blocking uses Apple's Screen Time framework. When you choose apps and websites to block, Apple gives Time Called coded tokens instead of their names, so we can't see which apps you picked or how you use your phone. These settings stay on your iPhone.
Microphone, photos and files
- Microphone: used only when you record your message. The recording stays on your iPhone.
- Photos and files: Time Called only sees the screenshot or file you choose. It can't see the rest of your photo library or files.
- Notifications: scheduled on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us.
Purchases
Season Pass subscriptions are sold and handled by Apple. The app checks with Apple, on your iPhone, whether your subscription is active. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers your purchase.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no ad or tracking networks.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services.
- No selling, renting or sharing your information, with anyone. That includes sportsbooks, betting affiliates, lenders and data brokers.
- No tracking across other apps or websites.
Links and phone numbers
Crisis lines in the app open your Phone app, and links open in your browser. Those services have their own privacy practices.
Children
Time Called is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If we ever add a feature that needs information to leave your iPhone, such as an AI coach or a community, we'll update this policy first and ask you in the app before anything is sent. The date at the top will change when this policy does.
